so sorry to hear it was Jasper's time, it's so great to see he was a super loved pup by all his people.

Thank you all so much. We miss the big guy. We both keep doing little things as though he is still here. Looking behind me when we come inside from playing because while the other two mongrels tear right into the house jasper would always wait for me to go in first. There is a big empty space in the house where a big silly doggie should be.

I should give thanks to the DMFers who gave Jasper their love. Bobspapa in particular gave Jasper a great gift. He help Jasper learn how to play and tug with toys in the way most dogs learn as little puppies. It was just wonderful to see him play without fear or apprehension. Thanks Joel.

Most of our friends had the same plans! 

Today, I walked Frizt and Bogart... I just couldn't bring myself to the beginning of the week. They where quite happy to return to their daily walk

Miss our big guy, Fritz and Bogart seem so small to me right now.

I washed the two of them yesterday, it made me feel a little better spending time grooming and caring for them.

polpetta & sac, i am sooo sooo sorry for you guys. i know how heart breaking it is. i have 3 in their twilight years that i worry about every day. life's just never quite the same when you lose one. *hugs*

Thank you, it is a week today... We both miss his presence so much.

We had different times of the day that meant the world to us. Our Jasper snuggle time. Me in the morning, as soon as Carl got up. My Jasper laid on the bed and half of me till I got up for the day or work. For Carl as soon as it got close to 8'ish Jasper was sure it was time to snuggle Pappa on the bed! Jasper would actually come out to the front deck and let us know that it was bed time for him and Carl. They usually got a couple of hours of snuggles before the rest (Fritz, Bogart, and I came in.) What a change from the puppy we first brought home who could jump on the bed between Carl and I without touching either one of us. (that was comfort to him before he learned about snuggles)

We miss our big sweet puppy.

As my thoughts went out to Mel and Carl last week, we share their grief today.  Our Jessie left us to join Jasper and the rest of their spirit litter mates.  She had lymphoma which spread to her brain causing her to go blind.  She wasnt in any pain.
She will be missed.  Bless them all.
