Sorry to hear.  Putting a loved dog down is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.  I feel for you.   Cry

Very good dog! I've only had cats that were good hunters. Plenty of gophers on the porch.

He is an awesome fellow.  I have lost track of how many rabbits he has gotten.  Serves a purpose out here as the little critters have a tendency to eat though wiring on vehicles.

Feeling kinda guilty. Took my shy dog to the park to get her more socialized, never been an issue with the older dog. Started just fine, until a younger dog decided to play. He was a little punchy and my dog had no idea how to handle it except to stick her paw out, which promptly gets caught in one of the other dog's collars. Much drama ensues and the other dog starts choking. The owner runs up and tries to help, gets her hand bitten by her own dog, while we draw a crowd. Only a few other owners just sat there watching. Finally someone produces a knife and we cut off the collar. My dog is just a bit shaken, but not even limping. We'll keep our eyes open for any issues, but I'm more worried about my poor dog not wanting to go back.
