Nitewaif

I don't have pictures parked anywhere I can link them, but today my "nephew" Jay (130 lb GSD) swiped a can of cat food and used his teeth to open it up by the pulltab.  Only thing is, he cut his toe holding the can down while he pulled the top off.   [bow_down]   If only he had thumbs... [laugh]

No shit? at 130lbs that must be one big shepherd.  let's see some pics of that guy.

Well today I took care of business.

No easy way about it - it make the beast with two backsing sucked.  It was way worse than I thought it would be.

A part of me died with him.

Condolences from my family, Factor. Sorry to hear what you had to go through, but you did the right thing. You gave your best friend an honorable passing.

Hugs from Greta the Princess Pony (that is what she prefers to be called. I have tried to convince her she is a dog, but keeps insisting she is a Pony, so I have given in).

She is 17 months old and weighs in around 64lbs, I am not sure she is going to get any bigger, as that is the ideal size for a female doberman.

I am just amazed at how good her ear crop came out. We didn't even have to post them!!!!!! They stood up on their own and didn't need any assistance.

She still has a lot of puppy in her and is our "marley." If you look closely, you can see some of her handy work chewing a cushion on our chair. She moved her cage 4 feet across the room and chewed through the cage. I still dont know how she did it.

I'd take some pictures of Alex, but the lazy mexican is still in bed.

Dude I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am that you had to go through that.  Just know that you did the right thing and that he is in a better place.

Kitana (my shepard) and I send you love and best wishes.

That sucks, FP.

He's up in the big dog park in the sky now...having all kinds of good times.

On another note, there is a Boxer group that gets together at various dog parks around Denver regularly.

Brian will be making his first appearance tomorrow.  [thumbsup]

Thanks man... you know everyone says that but I don't feel like it...  I feel like I let him down, even though I spent thousands on specialty vets and chemo.  I think I waited too long and if I had taken him in earlier they might have been able to control it.  I'm angry too, that fate saw fit to cheat me out of a few more years with him.

I know some of you guys have had to go through it too, more than once, and it's just beyond me.  I guess I was lucky to have it good for so long.

Thanks again for everyone's condolences.

Sorry..

I should have said this before but if there's anything you need, just let me know.  I'm not that far away!

I totally understand how you feel with the guilt.  It's probably going to eat at you for a long time but the "what-if's" will drive you nuts!!

I still blame myself for my Winston's passing.  If I would have done things differently, he would still be here.  You did what you could though.  Think about the good times.  Someday..you'll have another friend to be at your side.  Of course, no dog will ever take his place.

Well, after all that I'll just say - I think it's time for a nice long ride.

So sorry to hear that.  :'(  Sometimes it is just time though. It sounds like you did everything you could, and then some.
