LOOOOOOOOOVES people, peanut butter, and car rides. Not so sure about other dogs, but that will come with time and training...

She's my 60lb lap dog.  Grin

Sounds like my rescued pit.  Socialize her early and often!  Mine didn't get enough socialization and does not like other dogs at all.  Otherwise she is a total sweetheart.

She is still having trouble with the dog door.  We did everything suggested above.  She can get in and out no problem and will do it on her own if we are busy/not paying attention.  However, if we are anywhere near the dog door, she'll wait for us to give her permission to exit most time and will whine and bark to be invited back in.  You tell her to come in or whistle she comes right in.  I think this will change with time and she is only trying to overcome the door permission training we gave her.  Any suggestions?

This doesn't sound too bad to me. Maybe a bit of a hassle, but that's great she understands so well that she needs your permission.  waytogo Personally I'd just deal with it and see if she eventually figures out that the dog door is different. I'd hate to do sometheing that messed with the established door permissions in other situations.

I think you are right and will let time sort it out.  If we just leave the back door open (which we do in the summer) she has no problem going in a out on her own whenever.  I really appreciate the door training as I can leave the gate open when I take out the trash or whatever and she will not go through it without permission.  That is a good thing for sure.  She will definitely go out when no one is looking but has more trouble coming back in.

Amazing.

27 pages and not a soul has posted up a picture of Monsterlover.

Simply amazing.

I click "new" on this thread and it takes me to page 27.  It's been a while since I've been in here.

I fast scroll down and check out some dog pics and I happened to stop exactly on your post.

Dude, there are some dog hating mothermake the beast with two backsers at my job. I might get fired for this video.

Plus, this is animal cruelty. Who leaves their dog out in the middle of winter when it's snowing at night out in their dog house?

Here be Chewbacca. In the snow. For the first time.

He's an 8 month old Cockapoo. And a great dog.
