I might end up puppy sitting during the day. A guy at the dog park works super early in the morning. He feels bad leaving the dog in the crate until his roomate wakes up from having to work late at night, so I volunteered to take her in the morning. Since she's still going out every 2 hours, she'll at least be out of the crate and it's a playmate for Lexi so that she doesn't lay about all day.

That does seem like a lot of work.

I'd stick to pregnant doging about it on the internet.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but it actually is.

I live sort of by I-270 and across 6 lanes of traffic, a car dealer went out of business.

The owner's daughter wanted to turn it into a doggy day care location. PERFECT positioning as it is so close to a very busy on-ramp to the outerbelt. I was all for it. Well, since my condo complex is 200 yards across 6 lanes of highway, the first round of voting from the city came to us to see if we would deal with the "noise" associated with a daycare facility for dogs.

WTF????

Was I approached when they built the highway and I have to listen to liter bikes doing 165mph all summer long?

Anyway, it got shot down by the City of Dublin because apparently they didn't apply under the right zoning and the zoning office failed to tell them the form was wrong, eventhough they knew it was when they applied.

Just another Dublin thing..........

and yes.........I will stick to complaining about it because I can and am good at it.

In other news.............

Our new little guy goes in for his ear job this morning. the breeder will be sending me pictures either later today or tomorrow with his new look. Of course they will be all taped up, but I am interested to see how much he grew in a week.......

2-3 more weeks til Tag comes home!

Welcome to the world of trying to get things approved with public input. I deal with it all the time for various construction projects.

That's why I gave you the link to the group here in Seattle...getting things done takes organization, patience, and persistence. It isn't impossible, but it isn't a piece of cake either. Trust me, if it can be done in Seattle, which is notorious for never deciding on things, it can be done in Ohio.  [thumbsup] It will take more than a phone call though.

Joel -- you take some great critter pix. Thanks for sharing those & the others on Official Cats!  [thumbsup]

Update:

Taggart Alex had a successful ear crop at 8a this morning and was back in his run at 1030a.

He has eaten since and is doing well.

We get updated pictures Saturday once they remove the initial bandages and do the first round of taping.

Meet Taggart Alex.

He is about 8 weeks old Thursday; he had his ear crop a week ago that same day.

The Breeder just sent this to me a few minutes ago.

He is going to be a big ass Doberman based on his size at 8 weeks. He has got to damn near weigh 20lbs by now.

He does have some nice goal posts up!!!

That will be his look for about the next 6-9mons til his ear cartilage stands on its own.

The breeder did a show crop so that is why it will take so long.

Yes, IZ, B is doing and looking great!  About as 'normal' as he can be which has amazed us all, thanks!   [thumbsup]
