Some pics of the pup, 2 months and a week...
He's an English Cocker with American Cocker Spaniel mix, even though, both parents are a mix by themselves...
Top, taking a nap in the shower; bottom at the garden taking a rest before continuing to run around

Does that mean she is coming with you after all?

Looks like she will Paula.  ;)  Found a couple of condos that will let me bring her in, as long as my vet does up a history for her showing that she has never displayed aggressive tendencies and is actually a German Pinscher.     [thumbsup]

Has anyone here used Pet Airways?  I am not terribly keen on the idea of shipping Darmah in the cargo hold when I fly across the country...

They fly out of Ft. Lauderdale. I'm not sure how much more expensive they are versus cargo. What I've read it sounds like a great service. I'm sure I can find someone from the dog park that has used them. I will check tomorrow when I take Lexi to visit her friends.

To ship Tag here from Philly was 214.36$ via Delta Cargo.

that was also booked 3 days before his flight and he had one connection.

Pet Airways seems cool.

I recall reading the "flight attendants" are all Vet Tech's or have worked in the industry. Also, there is a Vet on standby at each airport they land at.

They are only in select markets now. It will be interesting to see if the service takes off (bwaaa).

They only have a handful of planes right now.

I believe they fly out of Ft. Lauderdale to NY and Philly. I know there were more routes, but those are the ones I remember.

It's a pain in the ass!!!

However, it doesn't seem to bother him at all.

Greta is the one most interested in it and we try to keep her from jumping on him.

Tonight is our first shot at taping the ears. Breeder says every 3 days, most say 5. We split the difference.

We'll see how it goes! We need to get some doggy ear cleaning solution as I hear the smell is rather rancid. Could only imagine why.........

We are a bit nervous as it is very important it is done properly or you can royally make the beast with two backs up the look. I don't think we will have to tape too long as he has very strong rear cartilage which is what you "train" to make the ears stand.
