My Dobe puppy is stretched out behind me taking up half the couch.

Due to several facebook comments, spearheaded by Papa here, they are NOT paper football goal posts!!!!

Let me snap a few photos.

who..... me?

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

I tried to put something like that (^) on Darmah once.  It didn't go very well...

We bought Greta two of them this past winter.

We got her a winter jacket for walks first. She really liked it and hated when we took it off her.

So

I bought her a fleece one to wear inside. She loves it.

Dobes just get really cold, at least my female does. She sleeps under blankets and covers.

Tag....not so sure. He isn't a huge snuggler like Greta and he doesn't like to be covered up.

Darmah likes to think that she is a snuggler, but once she gets in next to you she becomes more of a wriggler.

Lazy day at the Buelton house.

shitty weather out. Dogs have played and now it is nap time.

Tag now takes up even more couch when he stretches out.

Tag Sleeping

Never posted this, but my dog is cool and has a tattoo. Seems to be more common with breeders around here. Most now come inked with their litter number. I am guessing it is done so they can identify when they sell the animal verse the bootleg way of using a different color collar to differentiate. Seems like a good idea to me.

And of course I can't leave out Greta. This has turned into her chair. If you look on the left, the entire side is missing due to her moving her crate 4ft as a puppy and somehow eating the couch through the crate. After that, we started leaving her out and she did fine. I guess that was her way of telling us "damnit, get me out of here"

Ugh..I'm still on the fence about adopting this lil' man from the AZ Humane Society.

http://www.azhumane.org/dogs.shtml

APACHE - ID#A297341

I am a neutered male, tricolor Chihuahua - Smooth Coated.
The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old.  I have been at the shelter since Apr 28, 2010

I came to the Humane Society mid-March as an injured stray. My right eye had been badly injured. The Second Chance Team had to remove my eye to save my life. I spent some time in a foster home recovering and now I'm ready to find my furr-ever home.

My foster mom says that I'm a cuddler and that I love to go for walks! I was in a foster home for one month with two Chihuahuas and two large dogs. I prefer to be near you because I enjoy spending time with my human companions! I am a very smart boy! I am fully house trained and I am very well behaved when left alone at home. I am generally a quiet boy as well. I love peanut butter, rawhides, chew sticks and small soft treats. I also love to play chase and wrestle with the other dogs. Small soft toys are my favorite things to play with. A dog and child introduction are REQUIRED before I can go home today to ensure a great match and all children in the home must be older and mature.

I am a wonderful little man and although it says I am 6 years old, I like to think of myself as 6 years young! I have many joyous dog years ahead and I would love to spend them with you! If you have room in your heart and home adopt me today!

I am on a medical release because my upper left canine is broken at the tip. My long term expectations are that my tooth is solid now and is not causing any discomfort.

Friendly - men, women
Maybe - OLDER children, dogs (intro REQUIRED to ensure a good match)

We just saw him this morning but still concerned that our Frenchie (a bowling ball in canine form) may roll him over and break his leg(s) during play.  Emma really didn't mind Apache but became very jealous when I was holding him.

I think I'll go back tomorrow to see if I can get them to play.  We'll see what happens.

Either way..I know he'll go to a good home.   :)

cyrus,

beautiful animals...

Thanks. We got lucky in that department. Both are good looking. Greta has such deep coloring, an actual real "rust" verse the "tan" you see in a lot of Dobe's. Tag has a bit lighter markings then Greta, but has these cute black spots on the top of his feet.

I'll pass the word on to them as they love hearing compliments.

But, don't do what I do, spoil them rotten...

1. Greta sleeps in bed, under the covers. Not unusual to wake up to her big head on a pillow next to your face
2. Tag started sleeping in bed on night 3 of living with us

Tag naps on the couch always.
Greta naps on her chair.

Can you beat that?  ;D

No, can't beat that... But, Rocco and Enzo get to wake us up at 0430h everyday, they stay inside, no fence so the morning daily walk is very mucho importante, since dinner is served with delactosed milk after a 30 min walk on community's hilly main road...
Let's not forget, beggin strips, morrobone, bone shaped dog cookies and mint breathbusters and let's not forget, the vanilla cookies as snacks with delactosed vanilla ice cream...
No they don't sleep on the bed, but, thunderstorms will somehow make dogs appear on the bed.
