She's adorable!  Way, way too cute.
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

So tonight Scout, my lab coonhound mix grabbed a full (cooked) chicken breast from the counter.  It was the first time he ate 'people food' now I fear for all future counter food.

I would fear what is going to come out the other end in a few hours.

Does anyone on here work their dogs? If so in what discipline?

Mine alternate between holding down the couch and keeping the floor clean.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I put my dogs to work converting simple dog food into huge piles of toxic waste. They are really good at it.

;D  They are retired, I used to do obedience, agility and lure coursing with them.

not what I had in mind... [roll] ;D

Specifically, is anyone training their dog's in bite work? The agility stuff is cool and something I've dabbled in a bit with other peoples dogs but I am more interested in what everyone's thoughts are regarding ring sports and Schutzhund... There seem to quite a few dobes on here so I thought I would ask!

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Until We moved to Texas and while living in Alaska our micro kennel of huskies worked as skijoring dogs.  There is a pic of me and one of our dogs (Siku) in a skijoring race a few pages back.  Working with my dogs as a team made the bond between us very close.  Now that we are in Texas and have only one husky, his job is to run with us and stay out of trouble.

Our English Setter puppy, Rover, should shape up into a nice bird dog.

He's instictively gone on point lots of times with robins, finches, and even butterflies (I want to get a picture of that while he's still a pup.)  We're on the Oregon coast right now and he's mesmerized by the seagulls even though he has a whole ocean to play in.
