My dog knows all about this as well ...

Honey is less puppy and more dog these days.

Artful, what kind of dog is she?  (And do you have any extras? ;D)

My dog Rocky is a power chewer. He can destroy most chew toys in a day.  The red Kongs all have tooth penetration marks and chips.  Anything sewed will be destroyed in an hour or so.

I found a great toy line that comes with a replacement policy.  If he gets to the red core of the toy, I mail it back and send a new one. Then they use the returns for R&D.

Their web site could use some upgrades, but here it is:

We've decided to change Margie's name to Maggie.

It just seems to fit better.

And she responds to it just the same.

Besides being a complete PITA to Brian, she's doing well.

She knows many commands (sit, down, wait, shake, etc.), she's great on the leash for walks.

She does have an incredible amount of energy, however.  Hopefully she'll settle down once the anxiety & newness of being at our place wears off.

Ddan

She looks like a sweetheart

She's a five month old Rottweiler puppy.... so she won't be this size much longer. She grows so fast it's like having a new dog every day. Total sweetheart though, she's asleep on my foot right now. That will last another few minutes then all hell will break loose.
Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend

Stella

This crazy crackhead has as much energy as a baker's dozen Jack Russel Terriers.  However, with all the leg issues Brian has had, I will say it's impressive watching her hurdle the sofa from a few feet away in one bound with her spring-loaded legs.

My guess is someone thought "oh what a cute puppy" and then got a dose of reality pretty quickly with the amount of work that is/was required with her. Then they "accidentally" left the door open.   [roll]

Need prayers, good juju vibes, whatever for a forever home for this one, STAT!    ;)

Can I punch a 75 y/o german frau?

New foster clearly and without question is sick.  Whatever she had/has made its appearance sometime after noon today.  When we brought her home, she was bouncing off the walls and hurdling the sofa from several feet away.

Fever, lethargy, stopped eating, labored breathing (nothing like Heidi's breathing though).  Got the traveling doc to come to the house tonight and confirm I wasn't nuts.

Call the Frau who funds the rescue to share the info. to get permission to have her treated/examined by her/the rescue's quack clinic and she asks me what's going on in THIS house.

"It's kennel cough, I'll drop off antibiotics."

Ok, fine.  This situation is not life threatening but if it takes another turn downhill, I'm going to punch the old bag and get this dog examined properly and we're done fostering for them (for a while).

Stella is steaming.    >:(

Maybe that explains why she's been so sneezy?
