I just learned that John Baker has won the Iditorod Sled Dog Race.  This is a bit like Butler University making it to the NCAA basketball finals and actually beating Duke.  John lives in Kotzebue, Alaska on the Arctic Circle.  He is a Bush Pilot and an Inupiat Eskimo.  He also races more traditional Alaskan Huskies.  In the past it wasn't that unusual  for a Native to win races but as Sled dog racing has grown so has the required investment.  Successful racers are backed by big money, have huge dog kennels (80 or more dogs), don't live in the bush, and breed dogs that are hybrid racing machines.  Congratulations John [clap] [clap]

Snapped this pic of Darmah while out cleaning the bike up this morning.



She approves that it's supposed to get up to 72 today.   [thumbsup]
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
