I've been looking at several pieces of gear from BMW and Dainese on the web, but I sure would like to see some of them in person.  Is there a shop anywhere around the NoVa area that carries these brands of motorcycle gear?

Dianese, you are out of luck on anyone being a competant and really and truly stocked dealer on their gear....from what I hear, they require you to purchase something akin to over $25K in merchandise initially and no less than $5K on a supplimental resupply order...not alot of dealers have that kind of cash weight to tie up right now for something as slow to return on...

Yeah a bit tough to find any Dianese gear. Ducati gear by Dianese is another matter, CPS and Duc Pond both have a reasonable selection but it is at the end of the season so you will be waiting for the new gear. Weekend of the 11/14 is the first look at the new fashions at all the local Ducati shops, CPS is having a fashion show on 11/14. This also usually means if you can find some gear you like at one of the local shops it will most likely be heavily discounted. - Gene

I was at Battley's the other day and they had my jacket there, but not the pants.

If you know the size you are looking for, there's a Ducati by Dianese Dealer in Salt Lake that is AWESOME.  I bought some Ducati by Dianese winter gloves from them, after about a week, the thumb came apart.  I called and they sent me a new set, I still have the original.  I'll send them back of course, but the point is that they were very sympathetic and cooperative.  I can get you the contact info if anyone is interested.  Delivery was less than normal 4-5 business days.

Additionally, I have a lot of very close friends in Germany (I lived there for 11 years).  If there is any way I can be of assistance (read: BMW Support) be sure to let me know, I can save you a butt-load (yes, that is a unit of measure) on shipping by using my 'resources'.

my biggest problem is that I've never tried on any BMW or Dainese gear and I don't know what sizes to get.  I wear a size 48L in a sport coat.  I bought a Teknic jacket in size 48 that fits good, nice and snug.  I recently bought a FoxCreek jacket in 48L and it was huge.,  I exchanged it for a 46L and it fits pretty good.  I've heard the Dainese stuff runs small but I've not found anything local that I could try on.

I think I'll head down to Fredericksburg next week and take a look in a couple shops there.  Haven't been to any shops other than Coleman FC, Coleman Woodbridge and Clinton cycles.

of course, i don't really _need_ a new jacket...

Good question, it's actually "Universal".

Is this worth a CAM gathering?  How did people feel about the last CPS fashion show?
