yeah, i'd try to grab another ring that she wears and take that to the jeweler! :)

Estimate the size of her finger, go a little big, then have it resized after presentation.

Dude just buy the ring then take her back to get it sized, I just proposed to my girl of 4+ years and it was no big thing.  Just make sure when you do ask that the jewlers are open the next day or that day cause she's gonna want to get it sized just as fast as you want to pick up your bike when you special ordered one.

depends where you buy it. 90% of your average jewelry stores send their work to stores like mine, where we have a full shop. your mall and chains stores generally do not have in house goldsmiths.
if worse comes to worse, overnight it to me and i'll size it and ship back the same day. no cost to you.

if thats the  case you are definitely not going to get it sized fast. find a local goldsmith, not just a jewelry store, and ask them if they offer while you wait sizing or at least next day turnaround.
