At the time of purchase it seemed like a good idea to protect the engine from dirt, especially in wet weather. It's an ExtendaFenda.

I thought, how bad can it look? This plastic part has been sitting on my shelf a few weeks. Every time I go near the bike with this piece in my hand she growls and tries to bite. I think the Monster refuses to have this plastic bolted on. I tried to explain to her it would be functional and keep her lower parts dry, but she just laughed. "No way - function over style is not for me, I'm a Ducati", she said.

It's only my second faulty buy. I think it is closer to the trash. Do you agree?

Hang it in the garage as a threat.....when she breaks down on you and leaves you stranded she gets the plastic bits bolted on.   It'll be an 'understanding.'

 Evil
+1 Statlers` idea, " an understanding" is a good thing.

Wasn't there a company making these things out of Carbon Fiber?

I'm not a big fan either, but because I commute so much on my Monster and with our shit house weather up here, I think it will have to make an appearance at some stage.
