Yup. But the DA is on some crusade against female abuse. Lawyer is surprised she even got a judge to agree to hear the case.

I know a guy who was in essentially the same situation as you are in, was trying to hold the pregnant dog down as she was trying to stab him and cut her wrists.  The cops got called because she was screaming like a c*nt and they kicked his door down, beat him mercilessly AFTER he was handcuffed on the ground with their nightsticks and then he got thrown in jail for attempted rape. 

In trial, he was luckily found not guilty.  The cops had to "apologize" for excessive force.  I'm not kidding, that was their punishment, an APOLOGY.  They didn't even have to sit in the corner or go to bed without dessert.  He still has permanent injuries to his knee from when they dragged him unconcious and handcuffed down the stairs of the apartment complex.

To the OP, man that SUCKS.  Sounds like you're dealing with it very maturely.  Since you have no evidence against him to give the police, have you considered hiring a private investigator to trail the guy, and possibly record some evidence?

love to continue the duct tape trial discussion in NMC though.  If there was actually duct tape involved it does change the tone of the case quite a bit.

and that is why women will never be seen as equals, because they never will be seen as such by both men and women, because neither one really wants true "equality" in every way under the law, everyone wants to cherrypick what they want "equal"

Yeah, we got the call(s) yesterday. Turns out it was oil AND syrup in my truck - oil, syrup, and brown sugar in hers.

So new everything for both trucks from the fuel tanks to the engines. Trying to look on the bright side and be happy about getting a new $3000 engine for her 100K mile truck for just her deductible.

Still taking all I have to not go to the SOB's house with a baseball bat and some road flares. But I'm not going to lower myself to his level. Besides, I'd be the one to get caught.  [roll]

Again on the positive side, I don't worry so much about riding the Monster when it's cold.

Man, if I were you, I'd probably hire a PI and see if he can get some evidence on this guy.  Hell maybe he's hanging around the place at night and you can file stalking charges on him.  Maybe he's doing other illegal shit that he will get in trouble for too.  THen you can probably sue him in civil court for this?  (dunno, IANAL)
