I'm lining up some mods for the winter. This includes painting some body parts and my local guy is not in business anymore. I know that several here have had some good work done and I'm hoping you have some recommendations. Thanks - Gene

the dmf has it's own ducpainter :)

Frosty's Finishes

i had my lower cowl painted by him a couple of years ago,
and the finish was nicer than the factory's.

Duc and Cover

I'm looking for a paint job this winter also. Does anyone have knowledge about automotive wrapping vs. painting? My sister is getting into that and said she'd do my bike.
...CRG bar-ends, DIY tail chop, open clutch cover, open timing belt cover, stainless clutch springs w/black caps, Bitubo top-mount steering damper, 14-t front sprocket, integrated LED smoked tail light, clear front mini signals, full Termi exhaust, DP open airbox, DP ECU, suspension tuned by DucPond Racing, flipped handlebars, titanium Rizoma reservoirs, DIY chopped bikini fairing, DucDual headlights w/halos, mini CF rear chain guard, pro-grips, misplaced emissions canister...

Duc and Cover

So are frostyfinshes and ducpainter the same person, or is that two separate suggestions?

Same person. Frosty's Finishes is Nate's (AKA ducpainter on here) shop.

Got Duc

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

If the bike in your avatar is what you've got, do not wrap it. If you do warp it, when you remove the wrap, it's very likely the stripe will come off with the wrap.

+another on ducpainter/Frosty's/Nate/any other alias I may have left off. [thumbsup]

Wrapping's big stickers basically.

Ducpainter did Tim and Charlies Monsters if you want to look at some of is work first hand.

And there's that shop that sponsored TOB - they did a repaint on Tims Mules tank, before Tim bought it.  Tim thought the work was top notch, since he didn't even notice the fix until after he spotted his tank on thier website as an example of their work.  Too bad I can't remember their freakin' name.

ducpainter did my monster tank and his quality is far better than the stock junx. Too bad, I am not to be trusted with pristine paint.

You can purchase his work here. http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=10681.0

been up to Nate's shop and seen his work.   I'd vouch for him as a person and his work looks great.

as another admin for the DMF I also deal with him everyday.

There are very few people on whose reputation I risk my reputation.  He's one.

I wasn't planning on ever being able to return to the original paint job (it's got some rash on it). I was considering the wrap as a permanent change.
