Ive skipped out on the bill a few times when they were slow. After waiting for like, forever,  I stand up and start putting on my coat, usually that will get the bill. If not i go to the counter. If i cant get anybody I just walk out the door. I usually return later to pay up at a more convenient time. It messes up their whole deal though. But why should I be held hostage over the bill?

Here's the thing, there no chain of custody on the pot in her purse. Any PD worth a damn will argue that the waiter got pissed that they skipped the bill and planted the pot before calling the cops. Hell, they'll probably plead out of the "theft" too...
