Just a little site that a designed the logo for.
Look around a little, let me know what you think of everything. It's pretty cool thus far.

Appreciate it guys!

Just the logo. But check out the community if you get a chance, it has potential...

I like the logo. The interface is neat except when the pointer is near the edge of a tile and the tile gets Tourettes.   ???

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

You helped design the site and there is no way possible you could have, say, made the handlebars look something like, I dunno, a Ducati Monster?  ;)

Great job.  Extremely slick.

I like the artwork.   Sites sorta a MySpace for gearheads [thumbsup]

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Cool logo.

The site is why people hate flash though.

NGK would've done themselves a favor to hire someone to do UX design on that site.  Completely useless (and poorly executed) flash intro page that could've more easily been done with a simple navigation.  I always marvel at companies that forego UX for what they think (or are told) is "cool."  People will get one look at that flash intro, get frustrated and half of them will leave instantly, never to come back.

hey daryl. have an examples of this UX design you're talking about? i'm not really in with the web development lingo. my job is too make it look pretty in photoshop, and let someone else handle the back end... any examples you could provide would be extremely helpful!

thanks for the feedback fellas! this is all good stuff, i'll make sure to bring some of it up ;D

Sure, UX is just short for user experience.  Basically, whenever we start a project, before we do anything else, we find out what the company needs the site to do.  Then, we do user tests, using all manner of different "types" of users to see how they interact with the site, what works, what doesn't, etc.  From there we develop the wireframes based on how to best respond to user interaction and how people expect things to work.

It's quite an involved process and too dense for me to explain here, but we have a page on our corporate site that explains it a bit (in addition to the other milestones), you can see it here: http://hugeinc.com/process/

+11ty billion. I saw the flash, gave it a second, my computer (volume way up already for another app) started hammering away at the bass, and I instantly closed the browser, never to return.

Sound, on a website, is the most annoying thing ever.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

The sounds was a late addition... I think it was the result of a decision from some higher ups... i don't have much to do with it at this point.. was really just thrust in to do the logo... but i totally agree on the music thing... peoples tastes are too wide to try and pick something that will please everyone.
i think it needs to go for sure.
