Hey HP!  Your storefront looks very cool.  I will stop in next trip.  Are you manning the store yourself?  Or is it by appointment only...

HP, you must have a coffee pot so we can come warm ourselves at the shop and regail each other with stupendious tales of our riding prowess and generally create an air of "cool" about the place... will make it a place Hunter S. Thompson could love.... Wink

As I promised Dusty, here is a picture of the new dog!  After our Golden Retriever died a few months ago, we were torn on whether or not to get another dog.  Ultimately, it felt as if something was missing without a pup in the house.

We adopted her from the local animal shelter over a week ago.  I wanted a medium sized dog that didn't shed as much this time.  I've had Golden Retrievers all my life, but wanted something a bit different.    It had to be female, intelligent, around 30-35 pounds, good with kids, and have a disposition suitable for guard-dog duties.

This is what we wound up with:

Meet Sydney.  I know it's cliche', but my daughters loved the name.  She's about 1 year old and fits all of the criteria.  It's nice to rescue an older dog from the shelter, and it's a nice bonus that we don't have to deal with the typical "puppy stuff."

She is adorable!!  Good for you.   I will have a puppy again someday, but it will be after the ferret era.  I still have four of those running around.

Thanks Count!  I have to agree with Bonfy - she IS very adorable.  Once again : Congratulations!

I have to ask though, after reading the required criteria, did she have to send in her resume?  Also, is that Jackie's leg lying there next to her?  Wink

Bonfy, are you still considering a fifth ferret?  Undecided

No, not right now.  I am not even able to contemplate it.  Boo's absence is huge.  I can't get used to not having his laidback, Dean Martinesque presence around.  I need to stop with the fuzzies.  It is just too hard when their time comes.   :'(

Boo

Rest In Peace
