Has anyone taken a look at what they are charging for the 696 tank covers?  $380 a piece $760 a set    I mean come on.  Thats more than every carbon piece i have bought for it put together.   I wish Ducati would  cut us a freaking break during these economic times  laughingdp  It is what it is and I might wait a while to see if anyone comes out with an alternative but I'm pretty disappointed they are gouging the price like that.

Just about done with it.

C termi exhaust
C heat shields
C exhaust shield
C chain guard
C instrument panel
C front fender
white seat cowl
Eliminator kit ( havent installed)
Rizoma  Lux Billet Grips
CRG Lane splitters

Still to come....
Powder coat rearsets black
Powder coat wheels rims white
White tank covers  bang head
CRG brake/clutch levers
smaller lights

I always thought CF parts should cost more than the OEM...But in the case, even after a large shipping charge, you could get a pair or CF tank panels for around $610.  I dropped my baby not too long ago and need to replace one of the panels, guess which way I'll be going!

Nice! Please post pix when you get them on.

Question: Have you bought from this site before? I'm new and don't know which vendors are reliable other than the sponsors here.

I haven't ordered from that site before.  The links showed up in a different thread at some point.  I'm waiting for Moto Wheels to get some in, they just confirmed they still have plans to have some manufactured.

Spareshack was a sponsor in the days of TOB and had an excellent rep.

MS.Productions (one of the suppliers to Ducati) will be releasing some high quality pre-preg Carbon Fiber tank covers soon.

And do I REALLY want an image of a motorcycle ON my motorcycle? There has got to be some history behind these designs, but there would be no way anyone is going to want to explain it every time someone asks, "What's with the flowers?"

IMO, they got the 80's tank covers right. But these, I just don't get. Obviously, not for me, but curious to see who these are intended for.
