I have a 2nd chance offer on ebay right now for a set of GSXR forks.  they are labeled as  GSXR 600 750 06 07 forks. Black anodized!

Does anyone know if they fit either a 06 s2r1000 or 07 695? (of course with spacers)? Some people said only the 04/05 forks work.....

nothing beats an answer in less than 10 mins!

Ive read the write up, but cant seem to find it fast enough. I think it was on the DML not DMF.

Anyway by stuff, i assume you mean spacers for the rotors and for the brakes. nothings different from the 04/05 forks compare to these 06/07forks is what im trying to really get to.

im getting them for $200 bucks including both brakes. Do i need the axle to?

GSXR forks on my project bike. I have no answers for ya, just thought I'd give you a little visual of what they look like on the bike.  Evil  Consider me the little devil on the other shoulder telling you "DO IT!"  Evil

Any clearance issues with the Japanese radial brakes?

Also, what's the bolt spacing on those calipers?

I have an s2R1000 and I hear the brembos on mine are marginnally better than those on the gsxr.

did you need to get a new axel for those wheels? Are those wheels made for ducatis?

Looks nice. Though! I'm not 100% sure I wanna do this mod because I droped 300 on parts and 300 on labor to get my forks resprung and valved for 160lbs

I'd have to at minimum respring these.

Dunno about the forks, but those are the wheels off the '06 Paul Smart and Sport 1k. 25mm hollow axle.

I'm looking to upgrade my wheels over the winter and will probably have a set to trade/sell.

GSXR 600/750 K6 and K7 forks have a different diameter outer tubes, they're 50mm/53mm vs the stock 50mm/54mm, so like the SBK fork swap, you'll need to shim the lower triple. The stanchion tubes on the K6/K7 GSXR 600/750 forks are 41mm vs 43mm stock. Nothing major, but just some items to be aware of.

The K4/K5 forks have the same outer clamp diameter (50/53) as stock.

Of course there was issues with clearance. I think the issue was exacerbated by fitting the spoke wheels on there. The spokes widen more as they approach the hub, not good for clearance. That was addressed by fitting some custom spacers to lift the calipers up and away from the hub and closer to the rim edge.

I don't know the size of the spacers, a shop is doing the work for me.  Tongue

Yep, I don't see why you would want to replace your forks. If I'm not mistaken the S2R1K have adjustable forks plus you also had them resprung and valved. Why would you consider replacing them? Do you not like the feel? What's the problem?

I really don't want to replace my forks (i'm probably not gonna seeing how my forks are perfect right now) but on the plus side these forks look SEXY! and the radial brakes look SEXY!
But im mainly asking cause my friend has a 695 and since this is time sensitive id just ask myself and throw the offer his way.

You're welcome.

I had all the old threads from the "other" board bookmarked, but it's so hard to read anything there anymore.
