If I understand correctly the ohlins DU440 (I think that's the model number) fits the hoop style suspension on the 2001 monster 900ie. Does anyone know if any other models fit this year monster?

thanks in advance.

A 851/888 shock also fits, think model no was DU-046.

I'm not sure about that. The DU 440 and DU 046 look quite a bit different.

The DU-046 is listed for the Monster though...

I saw that. But take a look at the attachment point to the suspension linkage (not sure of the technical name of this part) at the bottom of the shock. They're totally different.

The picture is wrong.

The DU-440 has similar top and bottom mountings as pictured for the DU-046
