Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

In addition to the Russian-porky-juice, I'll bring a batch of red chile aka Buster Poindexter. Grin Wink

Just thought: stogies and bacon vodka, might just work.

Dan is hired as the camp cook! That sauce was base man! Really base. As in a great base start to some really kick ass chili for the 10th Annual Excuse Me Darlin Chili Cook Off. For only the experienced chili cooks. Need not mention those who could but have already bowed out of this world class chili cook off. It's ok though. There will be a 11th Annual Excuse Me Darlin Chili Cook Off in 2010.

Ok, overall, I had my doubts about this event even meriting a mention in the anals of epicurian highlights in Fort Worth's elite events. I was wrong. This far surpassed even my remote expectations of sensory experimentations into the unknown world of processed, roasted, packaged meat goods combined with alchohol. I hate to be a spoiler but after all the judges had assembled and the judging had passed the results were this:

1st and 3rd Places  - L' Avatar du Jour
Comments: I suppsose there might something to say about freshness here. For only having been 'cooking' a weeks time these entries came away the hands down favorites. First up the heavy smokey bacon infused taste with hints of pepper and a high kick factor but tamed  aftertaste won the overall best in class. A second entry by this entrant scored a narrow third edgeing out Slags rassberry infused bacon vodka recepe. Du Jour's entry crossing both catorgories of original thread bareing quality of infused bacon taste with 'other' pallet enlightments such as honey-maple smoked bacon that left a sweet aftertaste finish that reminded the judges of 'Morning After Breakfast Vodka' bacon vodka. Thanks Slag for coming up with that moniker.

2nd Place - Caffeinne Junkie - Smoked Bacon Pepper Vodka
Comments: CJ's entry climbed slowly but finished unanomously at the top. In this 'pepper' catagory. Dan has an honorable mention here because his entry was right up there in the flavor department. This finely crafted example of a mellow tasteing recipe made with a ( secret 'homegrown' Vodka) was both flavorful and powerful with a knockout punch that left one feeling a bit dizzy afterwards....RonR complained of numb gums...(see photos of faces).

In the follow up catagories of adventureous concoctions Thelma and Slag both tied with well thought out methodologies of bringing rassberries into a bacon-vodka as well as Thelma's delicate smooth smokey-chocolate-bacon vodka. Oh the taste!

To those who were on top of their games enough to realize their own potential of rising to the occasion to create personally creative wild swilling concoctions I tip my helmet and salute you guys for coming up with very entertaining and stimulating taste experiences.

It seems reasonable to expect a repeat of this years event in the near future.

Readers please note that no pics have YET been posted, for some reason tardiness is in effect.

Flashing, groping, stumbling and stuttering I'm sure will increase editing time.

Slovach arrived (with ette - glad to meet) even though no sleep for >30hrs.

That alone says it all: these meets ROCK!!!

Thanks for party central Katy and Zak bow down bow down

Congrat's to L'Smart for kicking my @ss at Bacon-Vodka and at Guitar Hero.

Great party Zach, Catie, and Tommy thanks for having us. I had a whiff of that stuff and I can't believe you drank it (minus the cinnamon stuff that smelled of cinnamon). Donald and Cathy thank you again for letting us catch a ride with you. Oh and a special thanks to McKraut for sharing your ass with every one Beth said it made the evening special.

Well, I'm very sorry to have to have bailed at such an early time guys. Catie, Zacherydackery and TommyToo thanks for a really great time. Spousal unit and son unit had a great time too. Son unit said he had the most fun kicking everyone's asses at GH. I think that's a throw-down if I've ever heard one.

I think that this event should be installed as a yearly event calendar thingy.

I'll not be wanting bacon for a while  bacon

I do not feel well.

NO! That is madness! It wasn't the burgers, mine was great. Was it maybe the greasy fat infused Drinkie treats? I hope you feel better and I bet you are not the only one feeling it.
