Legend of the Seeker

So, The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind is  one of my favorite fantasy series.  I see that they are going to make a TV series based on the books and I try not to get too excited.  I knew that they weren't going to be able to keep everything correct and would have to change some things, but man did they really screw the pooch on this one.  I can't believe how sucky it is.  I guess I'm not that surprised.

I remember reading the first two of those books a while back.  I was compelled to finish them, but couldn't quite put my finger on what I disliked about them.  I think they were just a bit too modern for my tastes.

I liked the first one, but felt the series declined over time and gave up after I think the 4th one.

I agree that they declined a bit around the middle but the last 3 books are really good and I thought the end was really different and well written.  Seems like a lot of fantasy series have the same end and this was complete outside of the norm.

The show still sucks.
