Just curious, how many members did TOB have?

We have almost 1200 here now.  wt:

Pulled this from the site:

"Threads: 92,554, Posts: 1,150,540, Members: 21,914"

Can't wait to see what happens to those numbers when they "Purge the inactive accounts" like they claim they will do.

It's crazy... every time i look at the top of the page there is a new member!  wt:

Saw the NMC destruction earlier... WTF?

As for the member numbers... I'm pretty sure that's everyone who ever created an account over the years.

When I asked for my account to be deleted, they said if I left, eventually my account would disappear after they purge the inactive accounts... Yea right.

What we can't tell, and is more important, is how many of that 21,914 are active participants. Quite a few probably just registered and never came back.

I'd been keeping an eye on it for the last few months, a couple of months back the smf software said ~19,000 accounts witn ~14 new accounts per day - that's everyone who'd ever registered there in the last 5 or 6 years.

In terms of active participants, the best numbers I've got are that TOB were steady at ~1000 posts/day for the last 6 months. We're doing two or three times that many posts (admittedly, maybe 2/3rds of them are talking about the VS takeover and TOB), so I'd say we've got a significant percentage of the "active posters" from TOB here.

(Our stats are linked at the bottom of the forum homepage here - the summary at the top has skewed numbers since the software was first installed back in Jan, but take a look at the daily stats for May down the bottom...)
