they also disproved the "myth" that a stick through the spokes of a bike will make you fly over the handle bars. 

their test rig was total crap for that one.

well I have PROOF that the "myth" is true. It's a scar on my forehead from when I was a kid and my neighbor stuck a broom in my front spokes.



as for the swing with ropes/chains...I think they were pretty thorough...but I could be wrong. I don't know my swing physics that well.
