Need some small parts powdercoated flat black?
«

I'm going to bring some parts into Blue Flame to have powdercoated flat black. Does anyone want to jump in on this with me? If the part needs sandblasting then you'll have to pay for that, otherwise it would be very cheap to have something powdercoated.
I'm doing my handlebar, headlight housing, and possibly my risers. They do good work and the guy is a motorcyclist who understands what he can and cannot paint on a handlebar.
LMK, I'll probably bring my parts in towards the end of the month.

I live over in west lakewood, near the town of morrison. Right next to Fox Hollow Golf course.
I won't be tearing my bike down until after the 1st of december, I'm moving garages and need to wait until I move to tear down my bike. I will most likely tear it down that week though. I just need to decide if I want to pull off the silver part of the frame that the pegs are mounted to or not to paint it black or leave it silver.
I"m doing the risers, the handlebar and front headlight housing in flat black. Also the exhaust hangers (where they bolt up to under the seat)
opinions?

I would do the rear sets and the two silver bolt/bolt ends that are on the frame (the one that connects your rear sets and the one right above the exhaust pipe, where the two frame piece's come together).
Oh guess I would paint the cans as well, unless you are replacing them over the winter. Don't forget to preform a reflectoronomy. Should look pretty good then!!! I am quite partial to the Dark's as that was my first bike, and I just loved the look.

yeah, that is when I will be taking my bike apart. Unsure to what level so far. I'm not really in a rush to get stuff painted. Blue Flame is going to throw my parts in with a regular client of theirs that gets stuff painted monthly in the color I want. This saves money, but does mean it will take longer to get the parts back. Normal turn around is about a week, with the money saving option it could be up to a month. just FYI, sorry I forgot to tell you guys that.
As far as the cans, maybe... I will be doing the Termi carbon kit, but I'm not sure I will have the money for that AND a 1198... so I will have to see.
As far as painting, I don't think I want to make my bike completely black, I do like some of the silver contrast on it. I might have to play with photoshop and come up with a decision.

So I'm tearing down my bike this weekend. I'm aiming to take my parts in next week.
If anyone wants to have some parts powder coated flat black LMK. I'm willing to wait a week or two if you need, but I want to have my parts dropped off before Xmas.
