Although, I guess if you're having that much of an issue sitting in 50 degree weather you probably aren't going to be riding to work.

It seems to me that it's their responsibility to provide you with a safe, comfortable working environment.  Since they haven't done that, you should feel no guilt in staying home until they fix it.

It's likely the pilot on the furnace has not been lit, or blew out. Have someone check it.
