I understand the 696 hit dealers a little earlier than anticipated.  See:  http://londonbikers.com/news/7863/monster-696-hits-uk-showrooms  Anyone from across the pond taken a test ride or taken delivery and willing to give their impressions?

Thank you old bean! This is one of the better reviews of the 696 that the Ducatisti board found:

Toodle pip for now.

I had a chance to put the boots to it on local roads up here in Vancouver for three days for OneWheelDrive.Net.

The video is a little "fluffy", but I felt I had enough for a proper ride impression: http://onewheeldrive.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=807&Itemid=1

Thanks for the link.  I appreciate your review and the bike sounds great.   I was hoping to get some non-motojournalist opinions on the bike as well.

I just hope to find a way to get it lowered enough for my wife. Then I can borrow it from her.  Grin

I love my 848... but I still miss my S2R.
