Hola PNW ruffians.

Here's the deal.  A buddy in SF, formerly from Portland, wants to buy his father (who is still in Portland) a custom leather moto jacket for his 60th.  He asked if Langlitz was the place to go.   I don't know if his father is a cruiser guy or a sportbike guy (I assume cruiser just cuz that's how old people roll).

Any feedback?  Other options?  Where do you guys go for custom work?  Gracias.

Langlitz is the spot for leathers.  Not sport bike stuff.  I went there when looking for a suit for me, 6'4" 170 lbs, not a typical "Italian" size.  Any hoo, the only thing sporty was a Evil Kenevel looking number.  For HD type gear, tassels and adornment, this is the spot.  They have sleeker looking stuff to but think of the 70's as far as most of it (Village People, Spinal Tap).  None of it is armored, but looks pretty beefy.  All sorts of weight choices and a real cool shop.  Very friendly even though they had nothing for me.  The dudes on smoke breaks even wave to you when you motor by. http://www.langlitz.com/

Small store. Nice local people. I walk over to the store for the leather conditioner every few months.

They can build u anything, i asked if i supplied pads would they install them (yup).

All the jackets have custom additions/optimizations (gun holster, secret pocket, etc.)

they have GOAT skin too

...and have a "sport touring" version termed THE CASCADE.

Hope that helps check out the website /call them if you (or your friend) are interested.

+1 on Langlitz.

You may wanna add lead time in any custom fit/order. My bro got himself a made-to-order jacket that required him to wait a few months before they actually began making it. Call and ask for any wait time.

Once you get one it's bulletproof (so a common Langlitz story goes).
