In that case, NAKID prolly wouldn't be able to figure out how to get it started!  ;D

It's not exactly a head-to-head is it?

Veyron - comfy, uber-GT car that weighs as much as a small house and has millions of dollars worth of fancy fittings to cosset the driver and impress the proletariat.
GT9 - Harsh, widowmaking, stripped out, lightweight, race-oriented, not-quite-streetable maniac of a car that will sooner tear your head off and spit it out the exhaust than give you a relaxed ride.

no way. I'd take the car and sell it to someone with more money than me.

I know I tend to be behind the times, but I thought this guy (Shelby SuperCars Ultimate Aero) was the new champ.

I know it outran the Veyron at, I believe, 156 mph.   Though it's got fewer horses than the GT9R at "only" 1183.

do you mean 256mph?  Veyron went 253.81.

My thoughts exactly...

Here's a test video of the G1-

I wonder how balanced it would be considering Porsche's typical rear-weight bias. Add a bigger engine and hope to God they balanced the front a bit more and cut the Maalox moments with those things.

Say what you must, but until you've ridden in one you have no idea what the experience is like.

There's nothing wrong with drawing a conclusion based on what the cars list for amenities. One does not need to ride in my militarty jeep, top down, in the snow, to assume it is miserably uncomfortable.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I wish I could afford a Veyron. I'd actually be nutty enough to strip out the bullshit in order to get the weight down. This is probably why I'm not destined for such things.
When you lay your head down tonight to go to bed, pray to your deity of choice that I hit some sort of lotto so that you can witness such behavior. I give you my word I'd really do it.  [thumbsup]

I saw an article where they went with a middle based engine and used a Cayman frame but stretched it out.  I think it was a Cayman frame, I read it quickly.  And I think the reason it looks so much like a race car is because of it's paint job.  If it was a solid color it would look more docile but that's just me.

I spent plenty of time in M151's to know that I still want one now 20+ years on. Easily one of the most fun vehicles on Earth.
