ASV Levers

I bought ASV levers for my 695. It bugs me that the neutral switch thing doesn't fit. I don't stall often, but if I do I don't want to have to put my bike in neutral to get it started again. The only way it fits is if I adjust the lever all the way out. If I bring it in, even a little, it doesn't work. That takes the advantage out of being adjustable. The lever is specified for a 695 and for the money should work. Anyone else find a way to solve this problem? The dealer's advice is to just put the bike in neutral if it stalls.
Is it June yet?

I have CRG, same principle, same reservoirs, and had to position the switch carefully before I tightened the pivot (?) bolt which holds the switch. If I remember correctly it has a little play - it was enough to make things work.
(as I'm typing this I'm thinking I just MIGHT confuse the left controls with the right side, but it should be easy enough for you find out)

Just permanently close the switch...with a zip tie or something. I did this to my wife's 620 and it worked fine. The only issue is you have to remember that the starter will operate without the clutch being pulled in. Not a big deal to me.

I'd be interested to hear if the Pazzo levers suffer the same fate, or if they work right out of the box.   [popcorn]

You can always just remove the switch entirely and jumper the circuit closed. You won't have a clutch interlock, but I don't like those anyways.

Just for future reference as to anyone using the search for this problem, I used a zip tie on the paddle bit of the lever so that the buckle of the zip tie hits the switch. Works good so far. Just tightened the tie up real tight.  [thumbsup]

I have FP Racing levers and had the same issue. I got it to work though, don't remember how.

Can you add a spacer of sort to bridge the gap?

Perhaps a pressure switch banjo wired into it would do the job. Seems to me if it would work for the brake it could be adapted for use on the clutch interlock as well. Only trouble with that is you would have to bleed the clutch and do some wiring.

For the money, I'd call them and ask WTF you're supposed to do.  Period.  If they have a shitty customer service, return them and buy something that fits (sounds like Pazzo's do).

In this day there's way to much competition to not have a good product, especially when they're simple levers for a 100+ bucks.

i have the Fp levers as well and did not have this issue, is this an isolated incident with the coffin resoviors?
