If you're in Seattle, try the Bean and Bagel by the University. Went there all the time as a grad student. They're a bit ornery at times, but it's worth it. They have a multigrain bagels, which I haven't found anywhere else.

My favorite coffee is Cubita.
Nearly impossible to by in the US because of the embargo, but whenever I know someone leaving the country to the carribean, I have them bring me back some.
what a rip
I can get it here... If you want me to ship it to you I can, don't know what that would cost.
A bottle of Absinthe was $12 to ship I don't see it costing more than that.

I'm quite fond of the local roaster's Jamaica Blue Mountain. Very smooth, almost like skim milk (no acidity at all but without any bitterness or typical dark-roast burnt flavour). At 55$ a pound it is an excessive indulgence though.

I live in SoCal and order this from Minneapolis, it's TO DIE FOR. The Mexican Dark Roast is my favorite. Absolutely delicious.
To the person that posted Alterra - props! That's my second favorite (it's in Milwaukee, I am from Madison).

I know this is sacrilege to all my coffee snob friends who grow, pick, roast, grind & brew their own - but if you're like me and you use a K-cup machine...
I think Kenya AA Coffee by Green Mountain is the best thing going.
I’m pretty sure I've tried all the regular coffee (non flavored, non decaf - like many comedians have said "I like my coffee to taste like coffee") K-cups twice (both black and w/ cream & sweetener) and this one is tops in my book.
My close second, because I really like Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, is Coffee People’s Donut Shop Cofffee.

Ethiopia Mocha Harrar. Hands down, the best coffee ever. I also like a lot of other Yemen, Ethiopian, and Kenyan coffee.
A friend of mine roasts some really good coffee. He's at

I'm in. There is no good coffee here and if I buy one more pound of Peet's I'm gonna puke. [coffee rant] Except it ain't even a pound anymore. What the make the beast with two backs is up with the 12oz bags. make the beast with two backs that shit! $12 for 12oz? Eat a bowl of dicks. [/coffeerant] So yeah, if a few folks want to pass along some good coffee finds (that are shipped in one pound bags as god intended) then I'm totally in.
Cheers.

I've been buying from these guys
http://www.kaladicoffee.com/
for sometime now. I usually make a trip down to the shop once a month.
Mostly for the espresso beans (Trieste Caffé) to go in my other big shiny Italian machine (Dark doesn't count as shiny) and because they're a local roaster. Mmm...
And, the owner (I think) whose name I can't remember, rides a 2000 M900 Dark.
I've talked to him one time after seeing him looking over my bike while I was picking up some beans.

At the risk of sounding like a total coffee philistine, I confess that I really like Starbuck's Sumatra beans. I am happy to give my money to someone else for good coffee - who can recommend a supplier for a good, bold, earthy bean? Even if I do it the injustice of grinding it with a blade grinder and brewing it in a 16-year-old Mr Coffee pot. Also, how much work is it to roast coffee yourself?

These guys are around the corner from me, and I love their coffee. It's all we drink

Cool info here:
http://www.clickpress.com/releases/Detailed/37891005cp.shtml
They just raised their prices from $12 to $13.75/lb. It is still worth every penny.
