that's one serious 1098r....and one unhappy sedici.

looks like a great event, Nick.

thanks, it went pretty good with only minor hiccups, it'll be better next year.

I  saw the other videos of the sedici on the CDC and he should have let someone else do the dyno drag.  :'(

you aint kidding. I would have rung it's neck. But only on a dyno.

I believe that there was another 1098 that made more hp than the sedici. In this case, I'm 99.9% sure it was the rider and not the bike.

That video of the sedici made baby Jesus cry  :'(

Seriously, was that the first time that guy has sat on a bike. Thank god that thing was straped to a dyno otherwise there would be a pile of parts formally known as Sedici sitting in someone's garage.

I believe his issue on the dyno is exactly the reason it's not a pile of parts. The traction control was kicking in, cutting off power in first and second gear. He should have shut it off completely.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

Wow, that would be totally cool if my " R " would pull 203 RWHP !

Don't know if that 1 was " built" or " stock " in race trim ?    Dolph     :)

Obviously built a bit.  The R spec does not even have that HP at the crank stock.

yup

He must have the only one with it then (not trying to argue). Take a look here: http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12247

and a quote from that thread-

as per your request, I confirm you that the Desmosedici RR does not
come with the traction control system as standard equipment.
With this regard, according to the Project Engineer, its
technological advancements, coming directly from Ducati's
experience in MotoGP, already make the Desmosedici RR model a
powerful machine but at the same they increase the manoevrability
and riding precision.

We hope this information is of assistance and remain at your
complete disposal.

Kind regards,
