well my situation changed a little.

The wife had am '08 Honda Civic, and I had my bike...
In October, 7 months into our (mostly her) pregnancy, I broke down and got a family friendly vehicle. We needed something that would work well with the infant seat and was easy to get the baby in and out without breaking our backs. The civic wouldnt quite cut it. So I got an '09 VW Tiguan. Which she has pretty much taken over since she can actually get in and out of it.. So I drive her civic most of the time now for commuting. But it gets the same fuel mileage as my bike anyways so no biggie. the only problem is the gay ass personalized plate she got on it two weeks after getting it...

I forgot to look out the window this morning before suiting up and heading out to the garage. Oh well, it can only get better!

Ron, did you ride anyway?  I got up in time to suit up, but stepped outside then cussed the wet pavement.  Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but don't forget that out of sight - out of mind. cheeky

Heck yes I did.  Took me 10 minutes to get all my gear on.  I'll be dammed if I'm gonna take it all off again after that!  I just wish it would dry up by this evening, but it doesn't look like it will.  That de-icing gunk on the roads is slippery and gets all over everything.  Maybe I will hose the bike off when I get home before it dries on the paint.

It was to much for me today.  Was a bit scary riding home last night, the Duc was covered in ice when I left the office, I even had small bits in the tyre treads.  No problems though and the tollway was empty so not many cages to deal with.

Do you have protection with the ski wear?  I wouldn't have much faith in a pair of ski gloves.

Being a rebel without a cause I wear only protection on the upper extremeties ie...shoulders and back so far. Rock Bottom Racing's budget is improving though and protection all over is the key for the next few weeks. Looking for boots, gloves, leather track suit, leather riding suit etc. Believe me I've thought about it much at 130!

Well winter finally found us with a vengeance. It's raining, hailing, then the sun comes out, then it hails again.
It went from 70 to 45F in one day and we're looked inside as if it was Mars outside.

I don't know how you guys ride with ice on your tires or deal with -30. that's nuts. Here's to you  Vino!

Dude, you're the one who hanglides right? Can you send me that link to that wonderful vid you made this past summer at Yosemite? Thanks, RED

Rode in yesterday, the 18th...not bad on the way in.  Face shield would fog up a little bit.  The ride home after work was a PITA...kept getting spray on the face shield and would fog up.  Roads were a little slick, but the highway was not too bad with the traffic drying up the pavement.

Chilly ride today but the roads are almost empty by Monday morning standards.  [moto]

The ride was much quicker which did not give my hands a chance to get as cold as usual in traffic.  waytogo

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
