I bought an electric vest last summer and forgot i had it, I pulled it out last night and wore it this morning on the way to work. I guess the temp might have been like 49? but man the minute I turned it on I was WARM! it works great and I dont know why I didnt use it up until now. I have about a 30 minute ride and by the end I was actually getting to warm and I had to turn it off. I know it doesnt get that cold in L.A. but its alot better than having to wear a big jacket over my leather, I am just concerned about how it will do in the rain if it gets wet any chance of getting shocked?

IMO, your chance of getting shocked is zero.

You'll be fine-I've ridden with mine on in monsoons.
