Absolutely! We take vacations on the BMW....
we have a custom seat because of the distances
can 'see' what I went all that way to see  (I take pictures from the back)
can turn on in the i-pod & chill
but for just cruising around town, my own bike      [moto]

I think vegging out has different meanings to different people. For instance, when I ride cupcake and "veg out", I am still fully aware of what I need to do as a passenger (bracing myself, leaning correctly, not wiggling around, etc).

For me, it has more to do with not needing to physically be messing with my hands and feet all the time, not necessarily being a poor passenger and not paying attention.
Thanks, JBubble...that's exactly what I meant.

It's freakin' terrifying.

That's because nearly every dude is a TERRIBLE passenger.  Seriously.  What's up with you guys?  It's like something in your DNA tells you to scratch yourselves, jerk your head around to look at every blonde crossing the street, fumble for your wallet and try some sort of anti-gravity take on back-seat counter-steering every time you ride behind someone.   laughingdp

Does this bike make my butt look fast?

Back to the topic...

I will still occasionally ride cupcake, if logistics demand it. Sometimes it's just easier to take one bike to a crowded street fair. I like it when I do, get to hold on nice n tight  Wink , take in the scenery, and flirt with other riders, pedestrians, cagers ...

Now that I'm a more experienced rider, however, I imagine I'd be pretty choosy about just whose back seat I'd be sittin' on....

I'll ride cupcake on occasion.

I rode cupcake on a couple of our long trips this past summer due to mechanical issues with my ST.   bang head

I'll also gp 2 up if I know that I may have a drink.

B and I both agree, solo is better, but not always possible.

I went for a couple of cupcake rides this weekend.

For me, it's just a different way to enjoy bikes. Smiley

How's the back seat of the BMW Mr.I rented?

Definitely comfier than the Monster.  And I can see much better too waytogo

However, because of the positioning, my short arms can no longer reach around him without putting uncomfortable pressure on him, so I held onto the handles (of which there are plenty and much more secure than the Duc).  The really hard part was getting on and off...not sure how I would do it if he had a top case.   However, the top case would become a backrest so that would be nice.

Oh, and I tried sitting in the driver's seat.  There was no way I could stand up the bike.  He then held up the bike for me, and both of my feet were 2-3 inches from the ground. Shocked
