Zipper help

If you have zippers on your gear that are getting stiff or stuck, try applying some wax. I took a candle and rubbed it onto my boot zippers, and they worked just like new.

never would have thought of that. I would have reached straight for the WD40 - works for everything else

Bar soap works as well.

A crayon is just the right size for most zippers. It can also hide minor scratches in your paint. Just scribble over the scratch and then buff off, the wax will fill in the scratch. Pick a color that matches for either application.

Great ideas!
All the zippers on my Teknic 2pc suit are starting to get caught up. Sounds like this is the ticket

Dry lube type silicon spray is # 1 Doesn't attract crud like other stuff I use it on tent zippers as well.

Graphite from regular old pencils also works pretty well.

Anyone know about a place in the bay area to take a jacket to be fixed? The zipper of my Alpinestars broke the other day and I would like to have it fixed.
