bye bye old lady

Lily passed away today.

16+ years of being a good meow meow kitty.

She knocked on deaths door a few months after lm and I first met..... I'd like to think she stuck around a bit longer, just cuz she liked me, or maybe she wanted to make sure I'd be good for Michelle.

She'd been losing weight again the past few days, so Michelle took her into the vet for a check-up. Everything came back ok, but we had a plan to take her back next week for some additional tests

During this time, Lily  had a real strong urge to be outside. Both Michelle and myself had been keeping her in due to the cold temps. This morning, we (Michelle and myself) thought, maybe she just wants to go off and do this on her own.... maybe she knows it's her time.

Well.... she was right.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project. 

So I went solo.  -Me

Helen (our ninja kitty) is about 14.

I need a lil break from sick animals..... so I'm hoping she makes it to 16 too.

had to put the boy down a couple of years ago... he had leukemia.

it was like losing a child...

My condolences to LM
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. RIP Lilly.  Sorry for your loss Joel.

Our Henrietta is going on 17.  We just found out she has a kidney infection.  Our cats now live with L's folks.  They are living the good life now.  Spoiled by the grandparents.  We hope HP hangs in there more a bit longer.
