i will make the same resolution that i always have since i graduated from high school.
its worked for twenty years, so why mess with success.
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

resolutions are a premise that everything is new: this is the first day of the rest of... arrghhhh!!!

it's BS-- we have to deal with the cards in our hands no matter what the date.

clean sheets and fresh starts are just illusions.

my new day resolution is to do the best I can today (which I can hopefully build on tomorrow, but I'm all about the present so this parenthetical jaunt is antithetical)

the future is now
the past is now
the present is all we have

many new years ago, I resolved to never make a resolution again.


and I've stuck w/it  [thumbsup]

1.  Get a job.  Being laid off for 4+ months is no fun.

2.  Shore up finances.

3.  Get future ex out of the house.

4.  Finalize divorce.

5.  Move on with my life.

Note that previous attempts at losing weight and reading more have had varying degrees of success, so I don't resolve to try those anymore.
