If it's a derby make the beast with two backs off...I'm an admin...I'll merge any meager previous post into this awesome one.

I hate new year's resolutions.   If it's important enough to change your life it's worth doing today...not next week or next month or next year.

Having said that, how is 2009 going to be different (you hope) than 2008?

I'll start to be fair:

several thousand calories per week less of alcohol.  Equates to better fitness goals and about the cost of a nice used 695 every year.

ok...you're next...
It's still buy a flounder a drink month

Popeye the Sailor

I plan to be nicer to my mods.

I will be sending Statler a case of tequila monthly.  :)

No resolutions-as you said, if it's worth doing, you should start now.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Statler

hahahahaha.  and we have closure.  No need for further thread participation.

I plan to pick up the caloric slack for Statler.

I also want to run in a 5k before I move in June.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

in a timed, actual event?  Or just run 5K?

I have never run an event because I run for me and since I hate it, an event sounds miserable.    But I do 5K regularly (my peninsula is .8 miles per lap...so 4 laps is perfect and the waterview is great).

I recently did 5 miles in 42 minutes with one of my employees.   She runs marathons so it was slow for her.  She kept saying she trains for it so I should stop apologizing for being slow.   The next night I took the office out for drinks.  She kept up shot for shot (she weighs maybe 90 lbs).  She didn't do well later.   I told her I train for it so she should stop apologizing.

I plan to run an actual timed event, but I doubt my time will be very competitive. If its below about 24 minutes I'll consider the venture a success.

so anyone with a real resolution?

Oh fine, I'll bite.

Mine is to quit taking things personal.

And to move to Oregon.
