So I live by the ocean and the open clutch cover with stock springs and salty air just aren't working out so well.  The springs are starting to rust.  Where can I find stainless springs that aren't going to cost me $30.  I really don't think 6 springs should cost that much.  Thanks in advance.

$26 from Motowheels:

That's the cheapest I could find. CA-Cycleworks has them for $34 with retainer caps.  That's just what they cost.

What you are looking for are called "Flat Edge Compression Springs" (or sometimes referred to as "closed and ground end" instead of "flat edge")

You need to do a couple of measurements -- I'm not going to make it that easy for you.  Last time I ordered, they were @$1/ea in low volume quantity in stainless.

Lee Spring requires you order a minimum of 10 to avoid ridiculous handling charges.  At about $5 each, that won't save you much!  laughingdp

Was just trying to help him, perhaps you can suggest the supplier that sells them for $1 each then?
