I'm not in love with it, but don't think it looks particularly bad or particularly ugly ('cept for that stupidass bellypan).  I think it's a good base from which to start.  With some mods, it could make my fun bits wanna come out to play.   Evil

Yeah the bellypan is a real eyesore.  But the headlamp looks like a Suzuki, the exhaust is stumpy and covers most of the wheel, the mirrors wouldn't make it off the showroom floor w/ me, I'd leave 'em where I found 'em.   I don't know, it just doesn't flow like all their other bikes.  I wanna like the thing, I guess I just need to blindfolded when I walk up to it, get on, then take off the blindfold and ride the wee out of it.  I bet it's a stump puller..... Didja see some of the photoshop work folks were playing around with in General?  The bike starts to look much better (but it still has that shitty bellypan).

It has been a while since Ducati has put out a motorcycle that I really love the look of. That's okay by me because there are only five or six designs out all of the past ones that I really like anyway.

The Bellypan, Headlight and the fatty exhaust has to go. It has potential

Here are some photoshops I did of the headlight.

Nice job w/ the photoshop.  Can you put boomtubes on it and get rid of the bellypan?  It looks pregnant.  The 2nd and 3rd iterations look better than what the factory has done.  You should forward those on to DNA and tell them you'll take no less than one of those limited edition Bayliss 1198's as compensation for "design improvement".

Oh I am not that good. I actually did that with the Paint application on my work laptop LOL

I wouldn't  be able to remove the Bellypan and chop the exhaust that easy with Paint =(

Not only ugly, but with that much motor under it I'd want the regular 1098's ergos and geometry. I've kind of learned my lesson already when it comes to overpowered streetfighters.

Saw the Streetfighter in person this a.m. at the Bike show and still really don't like the look of it, from any angle.  But if you turned around 180 degrees and looked there was the most killer looking carbon fiber clad RC8 sitting on display.   Me likey.

I also saw it up close and although I had mixed feelings on it in the beginning, I think with some minor mods it would be sick.
1. leave the mirrors at the dealer
2. minus clutch cover, and change plate to blue with red rings
3. remove passenter pegs
4. remove exhaust and repalce with termi shorty
5. white bike with black rims

I also sat on the new 1100 and its a really nice bike, I likey.  They had a red one with termis and gold rims, yowza.
