I am not sure this is the place to post this so sorry in advance if not.

the one thing i really didn't like about the 'other' site is that when an item sold it was left in the same location and if the author of that item didn't post it as sold in the title - there was no way to know.

is there a way to have these items either deleted, moved or once it is sold have a check box that marks it with a special icon so we know.

Just a thought but i know i spend a lot of time searching the site and it may save some time.

thanks in advance and keep it up.

This issue is dependent on the seller, they have to come back to mark it 'sold'.
We don't know if it sold, we don't monitor that.

I'm not sure making it any easier to mark it sold is going to help... it's pretty easy already.

Perhaps someone has some ideas?

can you set the posts in the buy / sell sections to expire after a month or so? folks still selling would be forced to monitor their adds (a problem sometimes) as would buyers who are still looking 8)
I'm here for a good time, but not a long time.

I don't know if it's possible to set up an auto-expire, but we have guys here who do know.

i do like the idea of an expiration or something.  i just know at the 'other' site there are over 200 pages of items for sale in parts alone that date back to 2005.  obviously those items are gone (one way or another) and should not be on the site not to mention the file storage space required for all of that information.

that's my 2 cents for what it is worth.

I like having the old posts around, it helps in determining the market value for parts.  One can research what certain parts went for.

My 2 cents...

i agree to a certain extent but to have three years of posts is a little extreme.  that is why i like the idea of a time limit - a year maybe...
