Trying to make my M696 even darker. I noticed that the heat shields on the M1100 are all black.
Judging by the parts breakdown. it looks like the same part #s as the M696 with a "B" on the end instead
of an "A".
Anyone know how much a set of heatshields are?
I know I could just paint them myself, but this
way they have matching factory paint.

Part #'s 12,13,33 and associated hardware.

Just saying, man.  Wink

Also, check out Commonwealth Motorcycles in the sponsor section. You can order OEM parts from them. Put the part number in the order form, add to cart, and see how much they are.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Well considering my 696 is in the shop with a TBD oil leak. this is the best I can do.

It cost me $90 to powder coat all 3 heat shields and the headlight frame black. Not quite as cheap as a rattle can though.

No, not quite, but it'll probably last a lot longer and look better, too.  waytogo

I'd say ask around and see if anyone near you wants to go in on a powdercoating group-buy.

Or at least pull the brake calipers off your car and get them done, too.

six dollar high temp rattle can option.  used rustoleum specialty high heat ultra (menards).  Must be the ultra! Perfect match.  perfect.

There is only one shade of black - for a small part like that I agree with the rattle can solution. I'm all for spending money on mods but wasting money is a different thing.
