I knew I was smart not to get that tee-shirt   Cool

Does the unicorn tee come in a wife beater version?

So I guess I have to get those t-shirts back from the groupies.... or maybe they can just black out the logo on the back?

Sorry, I've always been kind of a lurker, because until recently, I owned a Sport Classic, not a Monster (I did however just picked up a Monster S4 Senna   Grin  ).  So what ever happened to this group?  Did not even see the typical group ride of Monsters at LDD last week.

I think that folks had children, got busy with careers, and or moved. But many are still around, lurking. It may be a monster forum, but you don't have to own one to hang out.

Dunno. I think there are bigger factors at play here:
- Social Media is largely displacing message boards for affinity groups like this.
- Ducati is trying to turn the local clubs into marketing events...fashion shows for people with more money than sense.
- The idea of a Ducati-only community is probably ephemeral: people may still have Ducs (I do) but they also buy other brands.
- Some of the core people who kept this community alive have been turned off by events that shall remain nameless.

Did not even see the typical group ride of Monsters at LDD last week.

A couple of us made sure it happened for a couple of years.  I got tired of organizing.  No one else stepped up.

As for MendoDave and desmoquattro's points, +1 to some.  Kids and work, definitely  But that's not all.  I know that lots of folks use Facebook, but I still ride with a core group of folks from here and have the same ridiculous banter (just over email rather than in this subforum).  It's easier.

It's usually a pretty decent gathering of DMF folk at Tigre's Sears Point AFM races.

No...that was pure felony. No marketing hype there Smiley

BTW - The newer sign is still there.

Some of us are too busy riding... and never posted much anyway.

65,000 miles on my lil 620. Mike at Nichols wants to see it get to 100k... I think I'll want another bike before then.
