Ok...just got my new ECU replaced in my 07 S2R1k by Uncle Ducati.  Bike seems to run great.  Just wondering about the surging during warm up.  Never noticed it when the bike was stock so I am a little concerned.  Also the headlight stays on for about 10 seconds when the bike is first shut off.  Hmmm...curious.

If you are talking about the loping idle when cold (like from 1k to 2k rpms), mine started doing the same thing when I added the DP ECU.  Two different dealers could not get rid of this, they tell me its the nature of the beast.  You can sometimes make it stop by blipping the throttle.  I can live with it since it only lasts a few minutes, and runs great otherwise.

The headlight is supposed to stay on for a while when you shut the engine off.  They tell me that the idea behind this is that it gives you some light to find your way to the door of your house.

2000 996XU (extra ugly) for track days - BST carbon wheels, Ohlins shock, reworked fork, FBF exhaust, and a bunch of megacycle rocker arms. The rest of it is junk - Hey, I'm just happy that it runs...
