haha.. yeah, I was thinking the same as I was bidding... luck shined on me.  I'm more confused how one leg went for $152, and the other for $102.  I think the same guy was bidding on both, but one leg he bid much lower.  weird.

How far do you want to go with 'em?

Springs and oil would be a great start.

I'm gonna start there and see how it goes.  I know a racetech gold valve is an option, but I'm going to hold on that.  Respring/oil, get them set up properly, and see how that treats me.

I tried finding the part number on racetech's site.. but that spring finder thing just doesn't work well for me.  I know I need a .95 but otherwise, can't figure out the part number...

thanks in advance.

The RaceTech springs ( FRSP S3732095 ) aren't a drop-in right out of the box.
I can set you up with a spring & spacer kit that will drop in.

Honestly, doing the springs with typical hand tools is a PITA.
I've done it that way.

How much do you weigh?

I'm 185 in full gear.  My springs are 0.9.  I had Race-tech set the internal preload spacer to the minimum size that that they could get away with (too little can cause problems when the fork tops out according to them).  I have the preload adjusters all the way out, the sag is around 30mm.  The telltale on the stanchion shows that even after riding over cattle grates on Palomar at extra legal speeds, the fork never bottoms out.  I'm real happy with how it works (compared to stock), but if I had it to do over again I'd go with a lighter spring, maybe like 0.87 (if they make such a thing).  This would allow the preload adjustment to be other than all the way out.

they don't, but you can just run a .85 in one fork and a .90 in the other.

If you do, I'll take them off your hands.  If they're available of course.

yay my forks showed up today.  Gotta borrow a front stand to put them in.

Just eyeballin' them tho.. i'm nervous at the adjusters clearing the handle bars.  have to see, how they go in, i guess.

Take a measurement from the bottom of the triple to the axle, with the front end unweighted, so you know where you want the new forks to be.

got them in tonight after borrowing a front stand.  wasnt' hard, but tedious getting them lined up right.  Another set of hands would've made it go faster, but only took about 90 minutes.

Is it normal to have very little clearance to get at the adjusters?  I was able to determine that the handlebars were slightly off center.  Centered them up and rotated them a little to get some more clearance.  Just seems like you wouldn't be able to adjust the tops without moving/rotating the bars.

/shrug  I am far from an expert.
