70 Degrees in Louisville Ky today!  [moto]

The roads were a bit wet, but we still rode about 150 miles. Of course that left post-ride bike washing a necessity to remove any residue salt.   It is days like this that help me get through until May.

Of course, tommorow is the end of the party.  Back in the 40s...  :'(

We had a record high temp. today in my neck of the woods in South Central , Ohio....69 degrees !

I wanted to go for a ride but I have a bum left shoulder and still have a broken rib I just found out that is not going to heal and I have to make a decision on weither to have another operation to have that fixed somehow !

The shoulder may need surgery but I won't know until I see an orthopaedist. I've been putting that off in hopes that my shoulder would get better on it's own

It feels like I threw 100 baseballs as hard as I could and it's been that way for the last 6 weeks .   Dolph

Aww, sorry to hear that Dolph.  Hope you get good news from your orthopedist.

BTW it was down to 42 on my bicycle ride today.  Brrr!

I'm in Louisville too and I can't believe how nice it was, windy though! Everyone I know was out riding all day while I was at the shop watching bikes come and go.

Hi P., I saw where it's been chilly in the land of all that is usually perrrrrrrrfect !

I bet it felt good on the bicycle much unlike it would have on your Monster !

Days like that will help you appreciate the nicer days .

I know it was more like Wales or Ireland than California in the Bay area recently.

It's crazy back here . 2nd time since 1896 that it was this warm in the days between Christmas and New Years.

Tomorrow we come back to reality. Unfortunately  we are under a high wind warning w, winds gusting tonight and into the early morning up to 50 mph.

Last time we had winds like that was when the remnants of Hurricane Ike went through the day of the MotoGP at Indy.

Lost some major trees .   Dolph

I was a little surprised , I drove the cage about 30 miles on the highway to charge up the battery and only saw a few bikes.

I thought everybody and their Brother would be out.    Dolph

I snuck out yesterday (high of 60 in Akron) and logged about 45 miles. It was just a taste of a ride, but better than nothing.

[laugh]  A few years ago, I threw 6 or so balls in a timed pitching cage at Durham Athletic Park.  I struggled to break 60 mph and my arm did hurt for nearly 6 weeks!   :-\  Getting old sucks.

Felt good going up the mountain, but agonizing coming down. ;)

Definitely! [thumbsup]

We had 38 mph winds on Christmas...riding into them (on the bicycle) I could only go about 8 mph on flat ground. :P

High of upper 20's here in Hudson. I suppose I could sit on it and make engine noises, but after a few imaginary miles my lips would get chapped.

After a surprisingly difficult heated gear install, I took the girl out this afternoon for 40 miles or so.  Between the new gloves and a cloudless sky, it wasn't too bad.  We had the same temps late last week that you did DW, but they were accompanied by the same winds as well as a good chunk of rain.  What a tease.

Today was absolutely gorgeous here in Norfolk. 74 and sunny/partly cloudy. I got in a bit over 120 miles, ending up at the beach. Only problem is, now I gotta put more Stabil in the tank.

It certainly was breezy by the time I got back.  Didn't really notice too many problems until pointing the nose towards home, into the wind.  Regardless, when you live here and are riding just after Christmas with only a jacket liner more than you would in August, life is good.
