ciao a tutti -

well, i offered cheese to go along with all the whining from the local hypertard owners over this ride to carmel ... "too far" ... "my ass will hurt" ... "i don't like freeway speeds" ... what a bunch of wimps.  Tongue

so ... revised plan to keep the little monkeys happy ... we ride over to capitola for brunch.

for you sf folks, you can run down 35, or 1, and meet us @ either 9am in los gatos, or 10am in cpitola, as stated earlier.

the los gatos ride will be a little stretch of 17/880, then old santa cruz highway, then 35, then san jose/soquel road into soquel, and grab some food @ cafe lucio, if they are open.

a presto,
johnc

so, dan ... assuming your not face down in the dirt (or your own, or someone else's vomit) from the night before ... are you up for this ride over to soquel for brunch?

For those from SF, will this be a fast ride or a hung over ride?

It'll vary. In general, our rides have one golden rule: ride at a pace at which you're comfortable and in control. The faster folks will gladly wait to regroup at turns & other strategic points.

I rode FastElvis' hypertard and having experienced the seat, I'm with your monkeys. It makes the original monster seat feel like a barcalounger.

Super fun bike though. Evil

Which part of that is gravel?  Looking for a nice ride to Carmel, as little highway as possible, but I'm not sure how well the gravel part would go over.

Question for everyone: would anyone be willing to have DucMouse ride cupcake? Or, maybe, is there a short bike she might ride? The Bumblebee is waaaaay to high.

Drop eviltwin a line. His GF (R6diva on BARF) is a teeny tiny thing. She's got her old R6 and her new 675 Daytona. Both bikes are set on the short side.

I think they're going to a party NYE, but they'd probably be up for joining the ride.

ciao a tutti -

to confirm ... the ride plan NOW is as follows:

for you sf folks, you can run down 35, or 1, and meet us @ either 9am in los gatos @ the peet's coffee (798 Blossom Hill Rd) , or 10am in cpitola @ AJ's Fuel Market of Capitola‎ (36 Bay Ave.).

the los gatos ride will be a little stretch of 17/880, then old santa cruz highway, then 35, then san jose/soquel road into soquel to meet with the folks waiting @ AJ's, then grab some food @ cafe lucio in santa cruz, if they are open.

Okay, I'm in. I hope no one minds I invited a friend who rides an older Yamaha. This way I won't feel so lonely in the back.

SF riders, do you have a plan on where and when to meet up?

In the event I am miraculously feeling better from my cold/flu symptoms, are you planning a stop near the GGB or at Tambuck's?
