An observation:

Beyond the "we crash more when we ride more" analysis, it looks like there's a trend of more crashes at the end of winter and more crashes as "riding season" (April - Sept) progresses.

Beats me what that means...

All those who crashed at the beginning of the season finally got their bikes back together to crash at the end of the season.

Well, because I'm a bored geek on my lunch hour:

Crashes By Day of week:
Sunday   7
Monday   6
Tuesday   3
Weds   4
Thursday   8
Friday   7
Saturday   11

Crashes by month:
J   2
F   4
M   6
A   2
M   3
J   4
J   3
A   5
S   7
O   1
N   5
D   4

Clearly, Tuesdays in October are the safest days to ride and Saturdays in September are the worst Smiley

Where's the bar charts, dude?  Get your act together...  cheeky

And here's another stat...

I think we average one death a year.  That's a lot for how small a group we are.  All three have been newer riders I think--several months' experience riding--and all were newer to the DMF.  Yeesh.  Scary.

They did an extensive chart in AZ where they showed times of day - in traffic or out in the country. Single vehicle accident verses multi.

There's a big dif between getting tagged at rush hour going 30 by an cage, than a Sunday AM low-side.

From page 44 MC operator errors:

Percent of MC(MotorCycle) crashes with "No improper driving":  43.13%   Shocked

Be careful everyone, the cagers are trying to kill us   Angry

Not much, i would hate to lowside into oncoming traffic, just as much as i would hate to get tagged during rush hour.

It's not an ego deal--I think she's just trying to work out the details with the other party before going public.  It's a smart thing to do actually.   Smiley

Dang it woman-couldn't you have crashed my bike? It's worth more insured than sold.
